Searching for clubs

We use the postcode or borough, dates, children’s ages, optional school years, budget and activities you enter to find clubs. You do not need an account. Search does not ask for children’s names, dates of birth, contact or payment details.

Your search choices are sent to our server and included in the page address. They can remain in browser history and in links you share. Programme links may carry these choices to show relevant information. Remove the question mark and everything after it before sharing a link if you do not want to share those choices.

Optional device location

“Use my location” asks your browser for permission. Coordinates are used to estimate distances, are sent with your search and appear in its address. We do not continuously track your location. You can use a postcode or borough instead and revoke location permission in your browser.

Hosting and technical information

We use search information to provide the comparisons you request, and technical information to operate and protect the directory. Our basis is our legitimate interest in providing a useful, secure service. Optional device-location access requires your permission.

Vercel hosts Clubhome and processes network information such as IP addresses, browser information, requested URLs and request times. URLs can contain search choices. The search application does not save family searches or coordinates as database profiles, but browser history and hosting logs can contain requested URLs. Browser history follows your browser settings; technical records follow the hosting service’s configured retention.

Hosting infrastructure may process information outside the UK. See Vercel’s privacy notice for its processing and transfer arrangements.

Optional Google Analytics and cookies

Analytics is optional. Clubhome works without it. If you accept, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which kinds of pages are used. We rely on your consent. We load no Google Analytics script, send no measurement pings and set no GA cookies before acceptance or after rejection.

After acceptance, Google receives pageview information, a cookie-based browser identifier, timestamps and browser/device information. Google receives your IP address when your browser connects and can derive approximate location. This is not completely anonymous data.

We send fixed page categories and titles, without query strings, fragments or referrers. We do not send search terms, names, emails, postcodes, coordinates, children’s details or form values. Admin pages are excluded. Automatic enhanced measurement, user-provided data collection, Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled. Google may also generate basic session and engagement information from pageviews.

Our first-party preference, clubhome.analytics-consent, is stored in your browser’s local storage with your choice, the time and a policy version. It contains no new visitor identifier. Accepted and rejected choices last six months, implemented as 183 days, and are not extended just by visiting. Invalid, expired or unreadable preferences leave Analytics off. A first-party clubhome.analytics-stop cookie can preserve a withdrawal if local storage fails, for the same 183-day period.

After acceptance, Google uses _ga to distinguish browsers and _ga_7D0GFV60YE for session state. We limit these cookies to 183 days and disable automatic expiry renewal. Browser restrictions may shorten their lifetime. Google receives no permission for advertising cookies from this integration.

The GA4 property’s event-level data retention is 14 months. Cookie expiry is separate from Google’s server-side retention. Aggregated reports can remain beyond the event-level retention period. See Google’s retention explanation.

Google processes Analytics information and may process it outside the UK, including in the United States. Its service terms include data-processing and international-transfer terms; this notice does not promise UK-only processing. Read Google’s privacy policy and Google’s data-processing terms.

Rejecting, withdrawing and deleting data

Choose “Reject analytics”, or use “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time and then reject. Analytics stops immediately and we remove the applicable GA cookies. Changes are shared between open tabs where your browser supports this. Rejecting does not affect searching or booking links.

Withdrawal also requests deletion of previously collected Analytics data. If the existing GA cookie supplies its identifier, Clubhome securely records that existing identifier and the request time in its protected database queue, solely so the operator can submit the deletion request to Google. This does not create a new identifier or send a new measurement event. We confirm when Clubhome has recorded the request. This does not mean Google has already erased historical data. The operator must process the request in Google Analytics; the identifier is removed from our queue after submission to Google. If recording fails, we show a contact link with the existing reference so you can ask us to complete the request.

Clearing browser cookies does not delete historical data held by Google. If you have already cleared cookies, used another browser, or need help, email hello@clubhome.uk. We will help establish what data can be identified and handle applicable erasure and third-party notification requests. Do not send children’s details. Without an existing identifier it may not be possible to associate past Analytics records with your browser.

Other websites and bookings

Booking and payment happen on the provider’s website. Clubhome does not collect booking or payment details or submit your search form to providers. External websites and map or image services receive the network information needed when your browser connects to them and apply their own privacy practices.

Your rights

You can browse borough pages without a postcode, age or device location. You can remove search parameters, clear browser history and manage location permission in your browser. Depending on the circumstances, you have rights to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict or object to processing, and receive information in a portable form.
